Bloack is hard to work on in whatever style of embroidery, I think, but just like working with metallic threads, it's so worth the effort!

I found that having a good lamp shining DOWN on the fabric was far more help than having one shining up from underneath. If you work closely in one area at a time, counting is much easier; if you have to count out to an area where there are no other stitches, you can use half-cross as 'tacking' to make sure you don't skip a fabric thr more…
